Born on 8 November 1927 in Karachi, Pakistan, Lal Krishna Advani’s childhood is associated with the tragedy of the partition of the country. At the time of partition, Advani also moved to Delhi. Advani, who received education from St. Patrick’s School, Karachi and later from Bombay Law College, joined the national service in his teenage years. At the age of just 14, he joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He started his political life with journalism. While working as a co-editor in a weekly called Organizer, he saw the depths of Indian politics closely. This experience later molded him into a thoughtful politician.
