The war of words between the leaders reached its peak on the last day of campaigning, just before the voting for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections. After raising questions on BJP’s Rahul Gandhi’s Panchmarhi Jungle Safari and Giriraj Singh’s statement on burqa, Congress leader Rashid Alvi has hit back strongly. Alvi compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi with former Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Army Ayub Khan. Rashid Alvi said that PM Modi has learned Mann Ki Baat from Ayub Khan.
BJP surrounded by mention of Pulwama
Responding to BJP’s questions on Rahul Gandhi’s jungle safari, Alvi said, “As far as jungle safari is concerned, today is the last day of elections. Has Bharatiya Janata Party forgotten? On February 14, 2019, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi was celebrating inside Corbett Park and having fun while sitting in a boat, while 40 of our CRPF soldiers were martyred inside Pulwama. Has BJP forgotten that? Its own Governor Satpal Malik had said that the Prime Minister and Ajit Doval had told Satpal Malik to remain silent and had blamed Pakistan.”
He further said, “Till date no investigation has been done. Who was responsible has not been found out. Does BJP have any answer to this matter? On 14th February, he was enjoying. This is a case of jungle safari. He was making the entire film inside Corbett, while CRPF people were sacrificing their lives. BJP should first look into its own affairs.”
Strong reply to Giriraj’s statement
On Giriraj’s statement about bogus voting under the cover of burqa, he said, “Giriraj is not capable of being answered for his words. There is no answer to humiliation. Why have such people been made ministers, the way Giriraj Singh talks, all the Muslims of India are forbidden because they are taking advantage of the scheme of the Government of India, so you go back. Reference to veil on the statement about burqa
On Giriraj’s statement about lifting the burqa, he said, “They don’t realize that in our village, Hindu sisters also take out such a big veil and cover themselves, but when they go to get the Aadhaar card made, they too have to lift the veil.
