A video of Terminal-2 of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, some people are seen offering namaz in the open. After this video surfaced, a big controversy has erupted on social media. Opposition parties have accused the state government of double standards regarding religious activities.

People seen offering namaz in the video

According to the information, the people seen offering Namaz in the video are said to be relatives of pilgrims going to Mecca. It was told that there is already a designated namaz room in the airport premises, yet he offered namaz in a public place. Airport staff and security personnel are also seen nearby in the viral video.

BJP asked questions to the government

After this video surfaced, BJP leader Vijay Prasad questioned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and IT Minister Priyank Kharge on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “How was this permission given in the T2 terminal of Bengaluru Airport? Had these people taken any prior permission to offer Namaz? This is a high-security zone.” He further wrote, “The government bans activities like RSS’s ‘Path Sanchalan’ but turns a blind eye to such incidents. This is a matter of serious security concern.”

Government is considering issuing new guidelines

At the same time, now there is news that the Karnataka government is taking this matter seriously and is considering issuing a new guideline. According to sources, the government may soon issue such an order under which any kind of religious or political activity will be completely banned in the airport premises.
