Bollywood "he-man" Veteran actor Dharmendra, famously known as, is no more in this world. He died on Monday, 10 November in Mumbai at the age of 89. The veteran actor was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after complaining of difficulty in breathing, his condition was critical and he was kept on life support system. There has been a wave of mourning in the film industry due to the news of Dharmendra’s demise. The news of his death comes a few weeks before his 90th birthday, which he was supposed to celebrate on December 8. His demise is a big loss for Indian cinema.
Tributes are being paid to him from fans, fellow actors and the film industry, who remember him not only as a great actor but also an inspiration for many. He is survived by his wives Hema Malini and Prakash Kaur, and his children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, Ajita, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Dharmendra had an illustrious career spanning six decades
With a career spanning more than six decades, Dharmendra was one of the most famous actors of Indian cinema. He made his debut with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960 and Acted in more than 300 films, made the record of acting in most hit films in Hindi cinema.
Dharmendra was born on December 8, 1935 in Nasrali, a village in Ludhiana district of Punjab. Although he made his debut in 1960, his breakthrough came with the 1966 film Phool Aur Patthar, in which he starred alongside Meena Kumari. This film was a huge hit, and it took Dharmendra to the heights of stardom. Over the years, Dharmendra’s filmography has grown to include iconic blockbusters like Sholay, Raja Jani, Sita Aur Geeta, Kahaani Kismat Ki, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Charas, Azad and Dillagi, showcasing his range and versatility as an actor.
