Bihar Assembly 2025 ended on Tuesday evening (November 11, 2025) with the second phase of voting. Voting took place on 121 seats in the first phase on November 6 and on 122 seats in the second phase on Tuesday. Now the result will be announced on 14th November. The special thing in this election was that record breaking voting took place. Bihar has created history in terms of voting.   • NDA- 147-167 seats
  • Grand Alliance – 70 to 90 seats
  • Other- 2-6 seats

Looking at this figure, it seems that NDA government can be formed once again in Bihar. There are 243 assembly seats in Bihar and 122 seats are needed to form the government. That means NDA seems to be forming the government with majority.

  • NDA- 130-138 seats
  • Grand Alliance – 100 to 108 seats
  • Other- 3-5 seats

Who contested on how many seats in NDA?

In the 2025 assembly elections, both BJP and JDU parties have contested equal number of seats in NDA. BJP candidates were in the fray on 101 seats and JDU candidates were on 101 seats. Whereas Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s party Lok Janshakti (Ram Vilas), included in the NDA, had won 29 seats. However, the nomination of candidate Seema Singh from Madhaura seat of Chhapra was canceled. Whereas Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party ‘Hum’ and Upendra Kushwaha’s party Rashtriya Lok Morcha have been given 6-6 seats in NDA.

Who contested on how many seats in the Grand Alliance?

In the grand alliance, RJD is contesting on 143 seats, Congress on 61, Mukesh Sahni’s party VIP on 12, CPI (ML) on 20, CPI on 9, CPM on 4 seats and IP Gupta’s party IIP is contesting on three seats. Let us tell you that there are a total of 252 seats, but friendly fights are taking place on many of these seats which have been added separately. Due to this this number has increased.
