Afghanistan has condemned the car blast that took place on Monday (November 10, 2025) near the metro station outside the Red Fort in Delhi. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA-MoFA) has expressed its deep condolences to the bereaved families, the Government of India and the people of India in the car blast that took place in New Delhi on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
A massive explosion took place in a car parked at a traffic signal
This massive explosion took place on Monday (November 10, 2025) in a car parked at a traffic signal near gate number one of the Red Fort metro station in Delhi. In which till now a total of 12 people have been confirmed dead, while 20 other people were injured. This explosion in Delhi was so powerful that many other vehicles parked on the nearby roads were also damaged.
UAPA Case registered under
The Union Home Ministry has handed over the investigation of this car blast to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). At the same time, Delhi Police has registered an FIR in this case under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, (UAPA), 1967. In such a situation, it is clear that the investigating agencies are looking at this car blast as a terrorist attack.
Union Home Minister held a meeting with security officials
After this horrific car explosion, high alert was issued in entire Delhi-NCR. Along with this, high alert was issued in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Manipur. At the same time, the Union Home Ministry held a meeting with security officials on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) regarding the blast in the national capital. While Amit Shah chaired a meeting on Tuesday morning, he also called another meeting in the evening. The first meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah was attended by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, IB Director Tapan Deka, Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and National Investigation Agency (NIA) Director General Sadanand Vasant Date.
