This time the politics of Nalanda district once again seems to be going in favor of NDA in Nitish Kumar’s stronghold. According to ABP Bihar Expert Exit Poll 2025, NDA seems to be leading on 6 out of 7 seats in the district, while the Grand Alliance is holding on to only one seat.

Dr. Sunil Kumar’s victory in Bihar Sharif is considered certain.

This time BJP candidate Dr. Sunil Kumar seems to be winning from Bihar Sharif assembly seat with a huge majority. Senior journalist Raj Kumar Mishra said that there is no significant competition against the NDA candidate on this seat. He said that Dr. Sunil is a native of Bihar Sharif, whereas the Grand Alliance candidate is from outside the district. In such a situation, local people are supporting their own candidate.

Journalist Raj Kumar Mishra says that during the news coverage, many villagers also said that they will not vote for outside candidates, because after winning the elections, such candidates are not seen again in the area. That is why this time the victory of NDA is considered almost certain.

Muslim candidate’s bet did not work

Journalist Mohammad Mahmood Alam said that the Muslim population in Bihar Sharif Assembly is quite large, keeping this in mind the Grand Alliance had fielded a Muslim candidate. But this strategy could not succeed.

According to Alam, this seat is already a sitting seat for BJP. The Grand Alliance candidate did not connect with the public before the elections. If she had campaigned and met in advance, some impact could have been seen, but now the situation is in favor of NDA.

Senior journalist of Nalanda district, Hrishikesh Kumar, says that this time NDA will win on 6 out of 7 seats in the district and Grand Alliance will win on 1 seat. According to him, the victory of NDA candidate Dr. Sunil Kumar in Bihar Sharif is certain.

Whereas in Islampur, JDU’s Rohail Ranjan is getting the support of the public. His father, late Rajeev Ranjan, was a senior JDU leader, who will benefit from both sympathy and family image.

There is a tough fight between JDU and Congress in Nalanda. Congress candidate Kaushalendra Kumar “Chhote Mukhiya” has been continuously contesting against Shravan Kumar. This time too he has given a tough fight, but Shravan Kumar is expected to win, although the vote margin will be less.

Harnaut seat has always been the stronghold of Nitish Kumar. The victory of JDU candidate Hari Narayan Singh from here is almost certain. The Grand Alliance may have fielded a local candidate, but he has not been active among the public. Caste equations and Nitish’s image are giving advantage to NDA here.

Nitish factor seems to be working in Nalanda

Nalanda, which is the home district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is once again seeing the NDA wave. Be it Bihar Sharif, Harnaut or Islampur, JDU and BJP candidates are maintaining a strong hold at the local level.

People in rural areas say that even though there is resentment in the government, Nitish does not feel like leaving the area. This is the reason why NDA is leading here this time too.

Overall, NDA’s strong position in Nalanda. According to ABP Bihar Expert Exit Poll, these results can come.

Total Seats: 7
NDA: 6
Grand Alliance: 1
