It is considered very auspicious to plant coconut or sea shell at the main entrance. It is a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi and brings prosperity and purity in the house. Tie it in a red cloth and hang it on the door and show incense or lamp daily. Apart from this, clean the conch with Ganga water from time to time. By doing this negative forces are not able to enter the house.
In Hindu tradition, Swastika and Om symbol are considered symbols of auspiciousness and positive energy. Tie them in red or yellow cloth and place them on the right side of the main door. After this, apply roli or sandalwood tilak on it every day. This remedy maintains happiness, peace and auspicious energy in the house.
Applying lemon-chilli toran is considered to be a very effective solution to avoid eye defects. It is auspicious to change it on Saturday or Tuesday. But keep in mind, hang it in the middle of the door and do not install it inside the house. Adding a black cloth with it can be even more beneficial.
According to Vastu, cleanliness should always be maintained around the doors of the house. Do not keep broken or rusty items there. A clean door attracts positive energy and there is happiness and peace in the house.
Lighting a lamp daily at the main entrance is very auspicious. It not only destroys the negative energy of that place but also increases positive vibrations. By lighting a lamp in the evening, Goddess Lakshmi resides in the house.
