Tata Harrier And Tata Safari Facelift Launch Date: The facelift models of Tata Safari and Tata Harrier are going to be launched in the Indian market on 9th December. These models of Tata’s powerful SUVs will be brought in the market with petrol engines. Tata Motors was working on these facelift models for a long time. Apart from diesel engines, the buyers of these Tata vehicles are now going to get options in petrol engines also. With the launch of Tata Harrier facelift, it can give tough competition to Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The new model of Tata Safari is coming in the market to compete with the petrol versions of Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700.
Power of Tata Safari and Harrier
The facelift models of both Tata Safari and Harrier vehicles will be equipped with 1.5-litre turbocharged Hyperion petrol engine. Many other major changes have been made in the engine of this car. The vehicle is fitted with a water-cooled variable geometry turbocharger along with the engine. The engine found in Tata cars will provide power of 168-170 bhp at 5,500 rpm. At the same time, torque of 280 Nm will be generated at 2,000-3,000 rpm.
Tata Harrier and Safari are already in the market with both manual and automatic transmission options. Both gear boxes are expected to be available with this petrol engine. But it is not yet clear in Tata vehicles whether torque converter or dual-clutch gear box will be available with this engine in automatic variants, but it is certain that 6-speed manual will be available in these cars.

Tata Safari price starts from Rs 14.66 lakh. There are 24 variants of this vehicle in the Indian market. Whereas the ex-showroom price of Tata Harrier starts from Rs 14 lakh. This car is in the market in 22 variants. No information has been revealed yet regarding the price range in which the facelift models of Tata Safari and Harrier will be launched in the market.
