As soon as the counting of votes on 243 assembly seats of Bihar started at 8 am today, the political turmoil has intensified. As the counting progressed at 46 counting centers set up in 38 districts of the state, initial trends started emerging. These initial figures have clearly indicated that the contest will be very close and there will be excitement on every seat.
NDA got a slight lead
After the counting of votes started at 8 am, in the initial trends of 10-12, Jansuraj seems to be getting the lead. The party is ahead in Kumhrar seat. KC Sinha is Jansuraj’s candidate on this seat. Till the time of writing the news, NDA candidates are leading on 2 seats and Grand Alliance candidates on 3 seats in the initial phase. Others are ahead on five. It is believed that all these others are candidates of Jansuraj. There has been a situation of going back and forth on many seats by a small margin, due to which the entire election result seems to be taking an interesting turn.
Although these figures are just preliminary trends, they have provided the first gust of electoral wind. This time also a very tough contest can be seen in Bihar. As the counting progresses, the political picture will become more clear. At present, all eyes are on the next few hours, which will decide which alliance will capture power in Bihar.
Postal ballot counting took place first
It is noteworthy that in the counting of Bihar Assembly elections, postal ballots were counted first. Counting of EVMs started at 8.30 am. 46 centers have been set up in 38 districts of the state, which will be counted on 4372 tables.
Everyone’s eyes on these seats
There are many such important seats in these elections, on which the eyes of the entire state are fixed and which are being considered as “hotspots” of the election results. These include seats like Danapur, Maner, Chapra, Phulwari, Tarapur, Patna Sahib and Lakhisarai, where traditionally tough competition is seen. Whereas seats like Mahua and Raghopur always remain in the headlines due to the influence of Lalu Yadav family.
Apart from this, Karakat, Mokama, Lalganj, Nabinagar, Karghar, Gopalpur, Raghunathpur, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Muzaffarpur, Ghosi, Kuchaikot, Tarari, Siwan, Alinagar, Kumhrar are also considered to be the seats with very interesting contest this time.
