Let us tell you why blood sugar increases even if you do not eat sweets.

According to signs, there are 8 major reasons for increasing blood sugar, in which sugar keeps increasing even without eating sweets. In these-

morning sugar rise

Between 4 and 8 in the morning, the body produces certain hormones, such as cortisol and growth hormone. This tells your liver to make more glucose so you can wake up. If you have diabetes, your body is not able to produce enough insulin, so sugar increases in the morning.

Effect of reduced sugar at night

If sugar levels drop too low at night, the body produces more glucose in the morning to compensate. Because of this, sugar increases as soon as you wake up in the morning. This mostly happens in people taking insulin.

cold, cough or flu

When you have a viral or cold, the body releases stress hormones, which increase blood sugar.

Tension

Too much tension, worry, less sleep, too much heat, cold or sunburn, all these put the body under stress. Due to stress, cortisol increases and this also increases blood sugar.

lack of water in the body

Blood becomes thick when there is less water. Glucose is not high, but due to less water the blood sugar level appears increased. Additionally, excess sugar increases urination, which leads to further dehydration.

Periods and menopause

During these days, estrogen is low, due to which the body does not respond properly to insulin. This may increase blood sugar.

steroid medicines

Steroid medicines given in case of inflammation or any disease, such as prednisone, increase glucose in the liver and reduce the ability of insulin – this increases sugar.

not taking medicine at the right time

If diabetes medicine or insulin is not taken on time, or is taken in less quantity, then sugar increases automatically.
