Mumbai Indians have retained 17 players, while they included 3 players in their squad through trade deals. Although Mumbai Indians’ purse is almost exhausted, now the franchise can buy maximum 5 players in the IPL auction but the team does not even have a total of Rs 3 crore in its purse.
Mumbai Indians have kept their ‘core’ team intact, they have retained 17 players including Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Tilak Verma, while through trade the franchise has included Shardul Thakur, Sharfan Rutherford and Mayank Markande in the team. But MI is going to face great difficulty in the auction. It will not be easy for them to buy the players of their choice, because the purse is very less.

On which date will IPL take place? 2026
There will be a mini auction for the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, which is next month. The auction may take place on December 15, but its venue has not been decided yet. There is news that the auction is also being considered to be held outside India in UAE.
