The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big opportunity to the unemployed youth who are hoping for recruitment in the Home Guard Department of UP. 41,424 home guards will be recruited in the state. The application process for this has been started. 17 December 2025 is the last date to apply.
Home Guards are to be recruited for all 75 districts, Kanpur has the maximum of 1947 posts and Bhadohi has the least of 43 posts. There is a one time registration process for recruitment and the qualification is 12th.
Age and Educational Qualification
Home Guard recruitment has come out after a long time, recruitment is to be done on a total of 41,424 posts including all 75 districts. In this, the minimum educational qualification is 12th and should be between 18 to 35 years, there is also relaxation in different categories as per the reservation rules of the state government. Women reservation is also there in this recruitment. The application process has started which will continue till December 17, 2025. After checking the documents, selection will be done on the basis of physical efficiency.
One time registration mandatory
For the first time in Home Guard recruitment, all the candidates will have to go to the department’s website and do one time registration. This will be useful in future recruitments also. While applying, Aadhaar and mobile number will have to be filled correctly. For this, go to the website and click on OTR and then fill the details of name, mobile number and Aadhaar. After this, after registration, start filling the form for recruitment, upload the current photograph, signature and required documents. After depositing the form fees, when the final submission is made, then take a print out of it.
This recruitment for 12th pass qualification has come in the state after a long time, hence a minor mistake can lead to a long wait. Apply only after seeing the recruitment numbers in different districts. This time the board has made a complete system for transparency of recruitment, no irregularities will be tolerated. It is believed that lakhs of applicants will fill the form.
