Meanwhile, Aditya Dhar, director of the film ‘Dhurandhar’ told that his team worked continuously for 16-18 hours every day for one and a half years without any complaint. Although he did not say anything on the shift controversy, he definitely said this while praising the team.

Aditya Dhar also talked about the casting of ‘Dhurandhar’. He said, “The casting was done by Mukesh Chhabra and those artists who wanted to prove themselves were selected. There is a dialogue in the teaser of ‘Dhurandhar’ “I am injured, hence I am lethal”. Similarly, every member of the team has performed lethally like a wounded warrior. This doesn’t always happen.

Let us tell you that the issue of 8-hour shift gained prominence when Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga could not agree on work timings. Deepika left the film and Vanga herself posted about it on social media.
After this many actors and filmmakers gave their opinion on this. Kajol and Rani said that they work only for 8 hours. However, both of them said that this is a mutual adjustment between the makers and the actors.
Bollywood actress Kajol said that she does not do 4-5 films simultaneously. She said, “I do one film at a time. Then I start the second one. I don’t work for 20 or 30 hours.” Ajay Devgan had also said that this is a very common demand.
Bollywood director Siddharth P Malhotra even said that Deepika is not demanding anything new. There are many actors who work only for 8 hours. He said, ‘When I shot with Kajol in 2010, she used to work in eight-hour shifts. Rani Mukherjee also did the same. Deepika is not asking for anything new.
Aditya Dhar’s first film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ was a blockbuster.
Let us tell you that before Dhurandhar, Aditya Dhar had directed ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. This film released in 2019 was a war action film which was very much liked by the audience. The writer of this film was also the same. Made with a budget of Rs 44 crore, the film had earned Rs 342 crore at the box office.
Now after almost seven years, his film Dhurandhar is going to be released in theaters on 5th December. However, in the meantime, he worked a lot as a screen writer. He was also the screenwriter of ‘Article 370’ and the Netflix film Dhoomdham. Aditya Dhar started his career with screenwriting.
