With the results of Bihar Assembly elections, it has become clear that Nitish Kumar is going to take oath as the Chief Minister again, but as soon as the election noise subsided, an interesting question started arising in the minds of people that how much salary does the Chief Minister of Bihar get every month?

According to government rules, the Chief Minister of Bihar gets a monthly salary and allowances of around Rs 2.5 lakh. This amount is decided not only by the salary but also by adding many facilities, such as official residence, security, office operations and facilities related to the MLA. It is important to understand that the Chief Ministers of all the states in India do not get the same salary. In some states this amount is quite high, whereas in many states the salary of the Chief Minister is much less than this.

Which state’s CM has the highest salary?

In India, Telangana, Delhi and Maharashtra are the states where the Chief Minister gets the highest salary in the country. These states pay high salaries to their CMs due to economically strong budgets, large administrative structures and complex responsibilities.

Telangana CM has the highest salary in India

Telangana has long been among the states where the Chief Minister’s salary is the highest. The state government pays more than Rs 4 lakh to its Chief Minister every month. The salary of the new Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also decided according to this structure.

The salary of the Chief Minister of the capital Delhi is at second place.

The Chief Minister of Delhi, which is the capital of the country as well as a very complex administrative area, gets a monthly salary of around Rs 4 lakh. The budget of the Delhi government is bigger than that of many big states of the country, hence the salary of the CM here is also higher.

Maharashtra at third place

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra is the third highest paid CM in the country. Considering the economic condition of Mumbai and Maharashtra, the salary of the CM here is naturally considered high.

How much salary is given in MP, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Rajasthan?

In many states of India, the salary of the Chief Minister is much lower than that of Telangana or Delhi. In Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the CM gets a salary of around Rs 2 lakh. In Mizoram this amount is around 1 lakh 84 thousand. Rajasthan is among those states where the Chief Minister gets the lowest salary in the country, which is around Rs 1 lakh 75 thousand. If we talk about the top 3 highest paid Chief Ministers of the country, Telangana is at first place, Delhi is at second place with Rs. 4,10,000, Delhi is at second place with Rs. 3,90,000 and Maharashtra is at third place with Rs. 3,40,000.

Nitish’s salary may be low but his rights and facilities are powerful.

The salary of the Chief Minister in Bihar is less than that of many big states, but the facilities and rights associated with the post are very extensive. The Chief Minister’s residence, security, official staff, government vehicles and administrative powers make it one of the most influential posts in the country, so although the salary may seem low, the scope of responsibility and influence is much larger.
