Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ directed by Milap Milan Zaveri has completed 30 days at the box office despite facing tough competition from Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Thamaa’. Jahan Thama earned Rs 134.37 crore in 30 days. At the same time, ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ succeeded in making its place due to the continuous support received from the romance-genre audience. How did ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ perform in the first week?
‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’, released on the occasion of Diwali, started with an opening day collection of Rs 9 crore on Tuesday. The film saw a slight decline in the next two days on Wednesday and Thursday and collected Rs 7.75 crore and Rs 6 crore, but in its first 10-day extended weekend, the film earned a good Rs 55.15 crore. Due to which the film proved to be a solid performing film, while Thama earned Rs 108.4 crore.

What was the earnings of ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ in 30 days?
In the second week, ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ managed to earn Rs 16.3 crore, while Thaama was slightly ahead with Rs 18.7 crore. The difference was only Rs 2.4 crore. And in the third week, Harshvardhan’s film narrowed the gap further and earned Rs 5.85 crore while Thaama collected Rs 5.9 crore. Till the 30th day, Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat performed well in urban and semi-urban settings. With this it collected Rs 78.60 crore in 30 days.

Despite Thama’s dominance in the first week, ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ continued to dominate from the second weekend onwards. Because it has been reducing the gap between the two films. The re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam and now the success of ‘Ek Deewane Ke Deewaniyat’ has opened many doors for Harshvardhan’s career, with his next film being Force 3 with John Abraham, which will be followed by another film produced by Ekta R Kapoor.
