16 children became ill and unconscious due to gas leak in Lions Public School, Hardoi Sandila, UP, which created a stir. All the children were taken to two private hospitals for treatment, from where one child has been sent to Lucknow. DM SP along with other administrative officials reached the spot and inquired about the condition of the children. DM said that investigation is being done in the matter and action will be taken. CM Yogi Adityanath also took cognizance of the incident and has given necessary directions to the officials.
In fact, there was panic in the Lions Public School located in Sandila when the children started running out in fear as soon as the strong smell of gas spread here. The teachers immediately took all the children out of the classes and informed the families and the administration. As soon as information about the matter was received, SDM Sandila, CHC Superintendent Sandila along with fire brigade and police reached the spot and the doctors immediately started first aid.
Sick children were admitted
Seeing the situation becoming serious, the school administration of Sandila Lions Public School immediately informed the parents and sent all the students home and after the incident, the staff was shocked. Among the children affected in this incident, Yashi Gupta, Tanya, Deepali, Laiba, Aaradhya, Anushka, Ilma, Nihalika, Stuti Gupta daughter of Mithlesh Kumar, Sanskriti Gupta, Prachi, Varnika and Anjani were admitted to the city’s R.B. Admitted to the hospital. Doctors have referred Anjani to Lucknow for high level treatment due to her critical condition.
Officials inquired about the condition of sick children
SDM Sandila and CO and a large number of police administration are present on the spot, while as a precautionary measure, media and common people have been barred from entering the hospital premises. As soon as information about the incident was received, DM Anunay Jha and SP Ashok Kumar Meena also reached the spot and inquired about the health of the children admitted in the hospital.
Giving information, the DM said that information was received that some children in Lions Public School, due to which the Joint Magistrate and CO took immediate cognizance and all the children were sent to the hospital, there were about 16 such girls, all of whom are now stable. A girl has been referred to KGMU. Captain and I have inspected the spot, after that we are also going to the school, after that necessary legal action will be taken.
