Laser attack on pilot on Britain’s Royal Air Force, conflict between Russia and England

There is a tussle between Britain and Russia after the laser attack on Britain’s Royal Pilot. Britain alleges that while monitoring a Russian spy ship in British waters near Scotland, Russia has launched a laser attack on a Royal Air Force reconnaissance aircraft, P-8A.

Britain alleges that the Russian ship tried to distract the British pilot through laser attack. After this attack, England’s Defense Minister John Haley has warned Russia. He has said, ‘For the first time, a Russian spy ship ‘Yantar’ has used laser to stop British Air Force pilots monitoring their activities near UK waters.’

If space moves towards us, military option ready: John Haley

The British Defense Minister said in a warning tone, ‘My message to Russia and Putin is this, we are watching you. We know what you’re going through and if Yantar heads south this week, we’re ready. We have all military options ready.

Haley said that we deployed a Royal Navy frigate and RAF P-8 aircraft to keep an eye on every activity of this ship. During this, Yantar fired lasers at our pilot. This action by Russia is extremely dangerous and this is the second time this year that this ship, Yantar, has been deployed in British waters.

Russia gave this answer

The Russian Embassy in London has responded to Britain’s allegations. Russia has said that our country’s actions do not affect the interests of the United Kingdom. Its purpose is not to weaken its security. We have no interest in British underwater communications.

Russia made its intentions clear

Russia is at loggerheads with Britain due to its military aid to Ukraine. Recently France has also announced to give 100 Rafale fighter jets to Ukraine. In such a situation, Russia has made its intentions clear by deploying the Yantar spy ship in Europe.
