PM Awas Yojana Registration Process: Having one’s own house is everyone’s dream. But many people do not have enough money to build a house. In such a situation, the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme of the Government of India becomes a source of help for them. The scheme is available for both urban and rural areas and provides houses to families at affordable rates.
But the time limit for application in this scheme is limited. Therefore, it is important for interested people to take immediate action. The application process is easy. So many days left to apply
The application window for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is open only for 42 days. That means those applicants who are eligible for the scheme and want to apply should submit the form as soon as possible. There are often changes in these window or campaign-based deadlines.
But the advice is to apply immediately by visiting the portal or CSC and track the status. Last time there were reports of extension of the deadline. But there is benefit only if there is no delay. Otherwise a good opportunity may slip away from your hands.

Who can apply?
The family of the applicant applying for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should not have a permanent house anywhere in India. In this, eligibility is decided on the basis of income: EWS/LIG/MIG income-band is given priority in urban areas and SECC in rural areas. The same family should not have availed any government housing benefit before.
In rural areas, priority is given to those with kutcha houses or small houses. Required documents include Aadhaar and Aadhaar-linked mobile number, bank account details, income certificate, identity and address documents. In rural areas, details like MGNREGA job card or SBM number can also be asked.

how to apply?
Visit PMAY-U portal for online application. There you would have been given a QR code on the home page. Scan it with your phone. After this a new page will open. Click on Apply for PMAY-U 2.0 from the options on the right side. Then a new page will open which will have some terms and conditions, after reading them, click on Click to Process below.
After this you will have to complete the further process and upload the required documents. Your application will be submitted successfully. Offline application can be made by visiting the nearest CSC or PMAY-listed bank branch and paying a nominal fee.
