Shane told during interrogation that he used to get orders through WhatsApp and Shane App and he was running the drugs network according to them. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that the name of Jangi app has been used for some illegal work. It has been used in many illegal activities. Let us know about this app.
Why are apps like Jangi used for crimes?
Many such cases have come to light in the country, where drug smugglers, terrorists and criminals are using Jangi and many similar apps for communication. The government had also banned these apps on the basis of security concerns. These apps are used in crimes because the conversations happening on them are not stored on any centralized server. Due to this, it becomes almost impossible for the investigating agencies to recover the chat. Also, mobile number or email is not required for registration on these apps. This also benefits the criminals and makes it difficult to trace them. These apps do not store data and messages get automatically deleted as soon as they are read. In such a situation, the investigating agencies do not find any evidence.
She has been in controversies before too
Jangi app came into controversy in December last year. At that time, three terrorists had attacked a police post in Punjab and escaped. During the investigation, the police found a video of him on Jangi App. With its help, the police had encountered and killed these terrorists about 800 kilometers away. They were using Jangi app for their conversation.
