Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin also participated in the ABP Southern Rising Summit held on Monday (25 November) in Chennai. During this, he spoke openly on many issues. He said that the state government is continuously working on Coimbatore Metro and whatever is being said is not an achievement but our responsibility. Chief Minister M.K. We are doing our work as per Stalin’s expectations. He also thanked ABP Network for inviting him again.
During the program, Udhayanidhi made a scathing attack on the central government. He said that the Center talks about addressing itself as a ‘Union Government’, but the Coimbatore Metro project was not approved only because the population was not said to be sufficient. He also said that the Governor of Tamil Nadu tried to change the name of the state, but had to back down as opposition grew.
Udhayanidhi Stalin accused BJP
He alleged that the central government is trying to keep all the powers in its hands. BJP is working towards making the economically strong states politically weak and making the politically strong states economically weak. Udhayanidhi said that power is gradually being concentrated in one place in the country and due to this the rights of the states are getting weakened. He also said that Tamil Nadu is troubled by many issues – like wrong distribution of taxes, stopping of funds, new education policy and future delimitation.
Stalin targeted Modi government
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin made a big attack on the Modi government. He said, “If any attempt is made to impose Hindi or any other language, we will not step back from fighting another language war.” He further said, “Tamils will never accept the 3 language formula. Tamil Nadu will always stand to protect its language and culture.”
The Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu said, “We want constitutional amendments that give more power to the states, so that India can function as a strong union of states.”
