Ukraine is ready to discuss controversial issues with America. This statement has been given by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky himself. He has said that he is ready to advance the US-backed framework to end the war with Russia and talk to President Donald Trump. Europe’s allies should also be included in this. Zelensky said, “We firmly believe that Ukraine should be included in security decisions related to it. At the same time, Europe should also be included in the security decisions related to Ukraine. Whenever decisions about a country or in the interests of its people are taken behind the back, there is a greater risk that they will not work. The framework is on the table. We are ready to move forward with a personal meeting with President Trump.”
Trump had said that the peace plan should not be considered as a definite blue print.
Earlier, Trump had tried several times to speed up the talks by warning of announcing a deadline. He has expressed hope for an agreement by Thursday. He had said that the deadline for me is when this is over. I think everyone is tired of fighting. He had also said that the 28 points peace plan should not be considered as a definite blueprint.
Apart from this, Trump had posted on social media that there are some points of disagreement left. He instructed his Ambassador Steve Witkoff to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and his Army Secretary Dan Driscoll to meet with Ukrainian officials at the same time.
Trump wrote, “I hope that I look forward to meeting President Zelensky and President Putin soon. This meeting will take place only when the deal to end the war is finalized or is in its final stages.”
Here the Ukrainian diplomat has said in a warning tone that relaxation in the area is a big issue. This means that despite agreement on certain points, the final deal is not confirmed. He said that this is a very difficult question for us.
Russia attacked Kiev

The issues included in the peace agreement state that Ukraine will have to give up more than 20% of its territory. Which Russia captured with major attacks in 2022. It also talks about stopping the Ukrainian army and not joining NATO. However, Russia has been refusing these conditions considering it as surrender.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the changed peace plan should reflect the understanding reached in the Alaska meeting between Putin and Trump.
