
According to experts, skipping breakfast is not just skipping a meal but spoiling the entire structure of the body. Without breakfast, the body goes into nutritional deficit for a long time, due to which one feels very hungry till noon. This hunger later becomes the reason for eating large portions and choosing high calorie food. Due to which weight and belly fat start increasing.

By skipping breakfast, the appetite enhancing hormone ghrelin becomes more active, which increases the craving to eat sweet and fatty foods. Additionally, insulin sensitivity also decreases, due to which blood sugar control starts deteriorating. This pattern of overeating becomes a major reason for irregular energy levels and weight gain.

At the same time, research shows that the level of LDL i.e. bed cholesterol has been found to be higher in people who skip breakfast daily. This cholesterol is a major cause of heart disease and heart blockage. Not eating breakfast in the morning also increases metabolic stress on the body, which harms heart health in the long run.

The habit of skipping breakfast gradually gives rise to metabolic syndrome. In which belly fat, high BP, high sugar and bad cholesterol increase together. This pattern later becomes a big risk of type 2 diabetes. People who do not eat breakfast daily have been found to have a higher risk of diabetes.

Apart from this, due to not getting nutritious food in the morning, the body does not get enough energy. Such people feel tired quickly, remain irritable and have difficulty concentrating. At the same time, unstable blood sugar level also reduces mental performance.

At the same time, when there is a long gap from morning to afternoon, the body is attracted towards sweet, fried and high calorie foods to get quick energy. This deteriorates the quality of the diet and in the long run increases the risk of weight gain, diabetes and heart disease.
