Bajaj’s tremendous comeback! Riki E-Rickshaw launched with a range of 149 km, know the price

E-rickshaws have become the backbone of local transport in India in the last few years. The number of electric rickshaws has increased rapidly in almost every city and town, due to which even big vehicle manufacturers are now entering this segment. In view of this increasing demand, Bajaj Auto Limited has launched its new and strong electric rickshaw Bajaj Riki. The company has introduced it in two variants – one in P40 series for passengers and the other in C40 series for cargo. Bajaj aims to make India’s last-mile connectivity more secure and sustainable, as many e-rickshaws present in the market are not considered that reliable in terms of strength.

Price, range and battery

  • Bajaj Riki’s passenger model P4005 comes with a 5.4 kWh battery and gives a range of 149 km on full charge. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 1,90,890. Whereas its cargo model C4005 gives a range of 164 km with 5.2 kWh battery, which is priced at Rs 2,00,876. This cargo version comes with a larger tray, which helps cargo drivers earn more. Both models are designed to cover long distances at low cost with 2 kW power output.

strength and security

  • Bajaj Riki has been designed keeping in mind the tough conditions of Indian roads. Its monocoque chassis and unibody structure makes it stronger and safer. It includes features like independent suspension, hydraulic brakes and fast charging, due to which the journey remains smooth and the driver does not have to worry about frequent charging. This e-rickshaw gets fully charged in 4.5 hours and the company is also giving a warranty of 3 years or 60,000 km.

Where to find Bajaj Ricky?

  • Bajaj Riki’s cargo model can easily navigate flyovers and climbs with 28% gradeability. It was successfully tested in cities like Patna, Moradabad, Guwahati and Raipur. Now in the first phase it has been launched in more than 100 cities of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Assam. After Covid, the demand for e-rickshaw has increased rapidly and thousands of rickshaws are hitting the road every month. With strong range, fast charging and high earning potential, Bajaj Rikki is emerging as a very strong option in this segment.
