A total of 83 candidates will be selected through this recruitment. Any candidate who wants to apply for these posts will be able to apply after the online application process starts from December 15, 2025. The last date for application has been fixed as January 13, 2026.
For Sub-Inspector posts, the minimum age of the candidate has been kept at 18 years and maximum at 28 years. At the same time, candidates belonging to reserved categories will also get age relaxation. Age will be calculated as on January 1, 2025. This ensures that all eligible candidates can apply on time.
Candidates will be required to pay the fees while applying. The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 700. Whereas for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, this fee has been fixed at Rs 600. Forms will not be accepted without depositing the application fee.
The selection of candidates for Sub-Inspector posts will take place in several stages. The first phase will be of written examination, in which multiple choice questions will be asked from English subject. In this examination, one-fourth mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). The final merit will be prepared on the basis of these two examinations only.
Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of JKSSB www.jkssb.nic.in. The application process is very simple and straightforward. For this, candidates will have to click on the online registration link available on the homepage. After that all the requested information will have to be filled correctly. After filling the information, the fee will have to be paid online and finally the printout of the form should be kept safe.
