Preparations for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2025) to be held on November 30 by the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode have intensified. Lakhs of candidates from all over the country are going to appear in this examination and in such a situation, it is important for everyone to know the rules, dress code and necessary documents related to the examination in advance, so that there is no problem on the day of the exam.
CAT is one of the biggest management exams in the country, so it is mandatory to follow many rules from the time you reach the exam center till the end of the exam. According to the guidelines issued by the institute, every candidate will have to reach the center at least an hour before the commencement of the examination.
Photo ID required
The most important thing on the day of exam is the admit card and a valid photo identity card. Any ID like Aadhar Card, PAN Card or Driving License will have to be taken with you. It has to be kept in mind that the information given on the admit card and identity card is the same. To make the security check easier, candidates have been advised to wear simple and comfortable clothes, which do not contain any kind of metal.
It is strictly forbidden to take this
It is strictly prohibited to carry mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, cameras, Bluetooth or any electronic item to the centre. A candidate caught with such items may be immediately disqualified. Any attempt to cheat will be taken seriously by the examiner and may even result in the candidate being banned from future CAT examinations. It is also important to avoid tampering with computer settings or unnecessary use of the keyboard during the examination, as this may lock the system and cause harm to the candidate. It is mandatory to return all the rough sheets or rough papers to the invigilator after the examination is over. Not giving rough paper is considered a violation of examination rules.
Dress code also fixed
Different dress codes have also been fixed for male and female candidates for CAT 2025. Male candidates will not be allowed to wear thick soled shoes. It is also prohibited to wear clothes with big buttons or pockets. They can wear simple shirts, T-shirts or pants, but make sure that the clothes do not have pockets. Whereas female candidates are not allowed to come wearing jewellery. Wearing earrings, chains, nose pins, anklets, bracelets or any kind of metal item is prohibited. It has been advised to avoid excessive make-up and not to keep any kind of decoration in the hair. If there is mehendi, tattoo or any kind of special mark on the body then the admission can be stopped, hence it is better to avoid such things before the examination.
In how many slots will the exam be held?
The CAT exam will be held in three slots, the first slot will be from 8:30 to 10:30 am, the second slot will be from 12:30 to 2:30 pm and the third slot will be from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Candidates have to download their admit card from the official website of IIM iimcat.ac.in and carry it to the center along with the identity proof. The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode in 170 cities and 375 examination centers across the country.
