Well-known Bollywood actress Richa Chadha is often known for her outspoken and bold style, but the actress says that she was not always like this. She told about her early days in the 15th Indian Film Project held in Mumbai that earlier she was very timid and compromising.

The actress says that even though today people call her confident and fearless, earlier the situation was completely different.

She told, “I was not always so fearless and bold. In my initial days, I used to be very tolerant. One day, standing on the set, I asked myself, when did I sign this film? What am I doing here? Why am I doing this item number?”

While sharing an incident, she said, “A director told me that a male choreographer is needed and you have to do this and that. I used to get nervous inside that who are these people? What am I doing? I understood that some local manager must have taken some money and I thought that perhaps this is what should be done. This is the way of the industry.

The actress told- People used to advise me to improve my looks.

The actress told that in the meanwhile people in the industry used to advise me to fix my looks. She said, “People would say, get your lips done, get your face done, don’t drink water before shooting a song. I used to accept everything. I tortured my body and mind a lot. I used to say to myself, I am useless, I am not good.”

The actress finally said that this is the world, here people just try to make you look small.

Recently, the film ‘Secrets of a Mountain Serpent’, made in actress Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s production house Pushing Buttons Studios, had its world premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.
