According to Admiral Tripathi, more than 30 warships and submarines were deployed in a very short time during Operation Sindoor. He said that after the power of the Indian Navy was visible, the Pakistani Navy remained hidden in its ports due to fear.
India’s action on terrorist targets
In response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Indian Army had targeted at least nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. After this Pakistan tried missile attacks, which failed. In response, India damaged many airbases of Pakistan.
Vikrant Battle Group deployed on war mode
On the occasion of Navy Day, Vice Admiral Swaminathan, Chief of Western Naval Command, said that during Operation Sindoor, INS Vikrant Carrier Battle Group was fully deployed on war footing. He claimed that after the aggressive attitude of the Indian Navy, Pakistan started asking for ceasefire.
Hints regarding Bangladesh also
On relations with Bangladesh, Admiral Tripathi said that India considers its neighbor as a friend and hopes to see a positive change in the situation there after the February elections. He told that after becoming the Navy Chief, his first official foreign visit was also to Bangladesh.
It is noteworthy that in the month of November last, the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force had jointly organized ‘Tri-Service Exercise 2025’ successfully. This joint exercise was conducted by the three armies of India in vast areas of Rajasthan, Gujarat and North Arabian Sea. The massive military exercise showcased complex combat conditions and multi-domain coordinated operations.
