Pakistan cricket team will tour Sri Lanka in January next year. On Tuesday, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board confirmed that the Pakistan team will come to Sri Lanka to play the T20 series in the coming January. The matches of this series will be played on January 7, January 9 and January 11. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have recently played a tri-series, in the final of which the Pakistani team was victorious. Zimbabwe also played in this tri series.
All the matches of Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20 series will be played in Dambulla. The first match will be played on 7 January, the second T20 match on 9 January and the final match of the series on 11 January. Let us tell you that T20 World Cup 2026 is not far away, which will be played during February-March. India and Sri Lanka will be hosting the World Cup together.
This series will be important for the preparation of both the teams for the T20 World Cup. Let us remind you that in the final of the recently concluded Tri Series, the Pakistan team had defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets. Talking about the World Cup, it has been placed in Group A along with India, USA, Namibia and Netherlands. Sri Lanka has been placed in Group B along with Australia, Ireland, Oman and Zimbabwe.
