Maruti E-Vitara Bharat NCAP Safety Test: Maruti Suzuki has introduced the first electric car in the Indian market. This EV will be launched in the Indian market in January 2026. This electric car is available in about 12 countries of Europe. This EV will enter the Indian market in January 2026. But before this, Maruti’s electric car went through the safety test of Bharat NCAP, in which the e-Vitara has achieved 5-star safety rating. This car has completely passed the safety test. Earlier, Maruti E-Vitara has received 4-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
Safety score of Maruti e-Vitara
Along with the 5-star safety rating, Maruti e-Vitara has also become the car of Maruti to get the best score in India’s crash test program. In Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), e-Vitara has got 31.49 points out of 32. During the frontal off-set crash test, in which the car traveled at a speed of 64 kmph, it also got a ‘Good’ rating for the head and neck protection of the driver and front passenger. Whereas ‘ordinary’ rating was given for driver’s chest and ‘good’ rating was given for passenger’s chest protection.
In Child Occupant Protection (COP), e-Vitara has got 43 points out of 49. It has got 24 out of 24 marks in dynamic testing and 12 out of 12 marks in child restraint system installation. The remaining 7 marks are given for the vehicle assessment component.
Safety features of Maruti E-Vitara
Safety of passengers has been taken full care of in Maruti e-Vitara. Its standard features include 7 airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchor points and electronic stability control. This SUV of Maruti has been provided with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Along with this, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors are also provided.
