Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia is going to make her Bollywood debut. His first film ‘Ikkis’ is going to hit the theaters on 25 December 2025. In the film, Simar will be seen romancing with Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Simar Bhatia’s poster from ‘Ikkis’ has been released, seeing which Akshay Kumar has become emotional for his niece.
Akshay Kumar has shared the poster of Simar Bhatia from ‘Ikkis’ on Instagram. Along with this, he has written an emotional note for his niece in the caption. The actor has called his niece a star and said that he is very proud of Simar.
‘The journey is difficult, but…’
Akshay Kumar wrote for Simar Bhatia- ‘Having held you in my lap like a little girl and now seeing you entering the world of films… life has really become a cycle. Simar, I have seen you transform from a shy child who used to hide behind her mother, to a confident girl who is ready to face the camera as if she was born for this. The journey is difficult, but knowing you, you will move ahead with the same enthusiasm, same honesty and same stubborn determination that is there in our family.

Giving advice to his niece, the actor further wrote – ‘Hum Bhatia’s funda is simple: work, do it from the heart, and then see the magic of the universe. I am very proud of you son… the world is about to meet Simar Bhatia… but for me you have always been a star. Keep shining! Jai Mahadev.’
Star cast of ‘Ikkis’
‘Ikkis’ is based on the life of Indian Army officer Arun Khetrapal. Arun was the youngest soldier to be posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the Basantar War of 1971. Agastya Nanda will be seen in the role of Arun in the film. The film features late actor Dharmendra Arun’s father, Brigadier M.L. Will be seen in the role of Khetarpal. Apart from this, Jaideep Ahlawat is also a part of ‘Ikkis’.
