2. Do not keep pickles in steel utensils – Pickles are an important part of every household’s kitchen and are often stored for long periods. Pickles contain natural acid, which can cause chemical reaction with steel. Due to this, not only is there a risk of rusting of the steel utensils, but the taste of the pickle can also get spoiled. In some cases, this reaction can even harm the food. Therefore, pickle should always be stored in glass or plastic containers so that its quality remains intact and there is no adverse effect on health.

3. Do not keep curd in a steel vessel – Curd is very beneficial for our health, but it is not right to keep curd in a steel vessel. Curd contains some elements which can react badly with steel. Due to this, the taste of curd can get spoiled and the curd also spoils quickly. Apart from this, keeping it in a steel vessel can speed up the process of fermentation in curd, making it unedible, hence curd should always be stored in glass or earthen vessels. Earthen utensils not only keep the curd fresh, but it also maintains the taste of the curd.
