Punjabi star Shehnaaz Gill became famous across the country with Bigg Boss 13. He made his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. After this one or two of his films also came. Recently, Shehnaz Gill came to Bigg Boss 19 to welcome her brother Shehbaz as a wildcard and to promote her film Ikk Kudi. During this conversation with Salman Khan, he said a powerful thing, “No money was being imposed on me, so I imposed it on myself.” Now, in a new interview, Shehnaz has revealed the real reason behind those things.

“I am being used as a prop in films”
Shehnaaz told that this comment was due to increasing frustration with the opportunities coming her way. He said that he is getting many offers, but most of them make him just a decorative item, which does not contribute anything much. Actually speaking to Faridoon Shahryar, Shehnaaz said, “This thing came up because I am not getting good stories, and I am being used as a prop in films. I keep seeing the same kind of stories, there is nothing unique in them, and there is no big message in them. I was getting a lot of offers, but I think it should be beneficial to invest that money on me.”

Rejecting Punjabi films for five years
The actress also revealed that despite being constantly offered Punjabi projects, she refused them because they lacked freshness. She said, “I have been being offered Punjabi films for the last five years, but I was not doing them. I wanted someone to bet on me with a different concept. I wanted to make a comeback in the Punjab industry in a different style, especially after making a comeback after 3-4 years, this is what I was waiting for.”

“I want to prove myself first.”,
Shehnaaz further explained why she finally decided to invest her money in Punjabi films. For him, it is a part of rebuilding his artistic identity and proving his mettle before stepping into bigger roles in Bollywood. She said, “It is very important to understand scripts and films. I did not want to do anything just for the sake of show, because these things last forever. I thought, why not do something in our Punjabi industry where we can really bring some change? Why are we only running after Bollywood? I will work there someday, but first I want to prove myself. I am auditioning for Bollywood, performing my best, but first as an actor. But it was very important to prove myself.”
