There is news of a tragic accident in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. A painful road accident has come to light on the Bani-Bhandar road in Bani hill sub-division of Kathua. The wedding procession car going from Siti village to Bhandar village suddenly went out of control and fell into a deep ditch. The accident was so severe that the car was blown to pieces.
In the accident, the groom Vicky (son Khemraj) and Jeevan (son Balibhadar), who was traveling in the car with him, died tragically on the spot. Injured in the accident, Mohan Singh (son Khemraj) resident of Siti, Rakesh Kumar (son Purna Chand) resident of Gati and Shishupal (son Hansraj) resident of Mahanpur were taken to Sub-District Hospital in critical condition, where Rakesh Kumar also died. Treatment of the injured is continuing.
People were waiting for the groom to arrive
On the other hand, preparations to welcome the groom and the wedding procession were completed in Bhandar village. The pandal was decorated, colorful lights and welcome gates were installed. Arrangements for seating and food for the guests had also been made. People were eagerly waiting for the arrival of the groom, but as soon as the news of the accident reached the wedding procession, mourning spread throughout the village.
As soon as information about the accident was received, there was chaos in the girl’s house. Echoes echoed throughout the village and a wave of mourning spread across the area.
Rescue operation carried out with the help of local people
The car was badly lying in a ditch at the spot and the condition was so bad that even the number plate of the vehicle was not visible. Local people informed the administration and played an important role in evacuating the injured. As soon as the information was received, the police team also reached the spot and started investigating the cause of the accident.
