South films will shine in the year 2025
Many films of South Cinema were successful at the box office this year. Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kaatanra Chapter 1’ holds the record of highest grosser of the year. Let us tell you that this film was made with a budget of Rs 130 crore and it made a huge collection of Rs 662 crore in India and its worldwide earning was Rs 840 crore. Rajinikanth starrer ‘Coolie’ had collected Rs 516 crore worldwide. Kalyani Priyadarshan’s film ‘Lokah Chapter 1’, made with a budget of just Rs 40 crore, also did wonders. It surprised everyone by doing a worldwide business of Rs 302 crores. Mohanlal’s ‘L2 Empuraan’ was also a big hit of the year. The budget of this Malayalam language film was Rs 150 crore and it did a worldwide business of Rs 268 crore.

Movies of big Bollywood stars lagged behind
In the year 2025, films of big Bollywood superstars proved to be cold at the box office. Let us tell you that Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’ was released in the beginning of this year. There were a lot of expectations from this film of YRF’s spy universe but this film could not recover its budget. Made at a cost of Rs 400 crore, this film was able to do a worldwide business of Rs 360 crore. Whereas superstar Salman Khan’s film ‘Sikander’ was released on Eid but it could not perform well. Made at a cost of Rs 200 crore, this film had collected Rs 184.71 crore worldwide. At the same time, Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer film ‘Housefull 5’ was also not special. Made at a cost of Rs 225 crore, this film had earned Rs 190 crore worldwide. Recently, Maddock’s horror universe film ‘Thama’ also did not perform well. Two films saved the shame of Bollywood
