A big employment opportunity is coming for the youth of Bihar. The state government has decided to fill the long vacant posts in the forest department. Along with this, emphasis has also been laid on promoting plantation of fruitful and healthy trees in the state, maintenance of parks and strengthening eco-tourism. The government plans to motivate common people to plant trees so that environmental protection and greenery can be promoted.
Ability
Educational qualification will also be different for different posts in the department, like for Forest Guard and Forester, it is considered necessary to have 12th pass, while those applying for Clerk and Stenographer posts should have 12th along with knowledge of typing or shorthand, for the post of Amin, ITI or diploma in related trade, for applying for driver posts, 10th pass and valid driving license will be necessary. For higher posts like Assistant Forest Conservator or Field Officer, graduation will be mandatory.
age limit
The age limit for these posts can generally be kept between 18 to 35 years. According to reservation, OBC, SC and ST candidates will get relaxation in maximum age as per government rules.
application fee
An estimated fee of Rs 300 to 500 can be charged from general and OBC category candidates, whereas for SC, ST and women candidates, the fee can be less and can be around Rs 100 to 200.
selection process
The selection process will be different according to the posts, but for most of the posts a written test will be taken. For field posts like Forest Guard and Forester, physical test will also be included, in which physical abilities like running, height and chest measurement will be seen. Separate skill test will be conducted for typing and steno posts. Driving test will be required for the post of driver. Final selection will be done on the basis of document verification and merit.
