There is an alert in Ayodhya, Mathura and Varanasi of UP on the anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid. Strict security arrangements have been made in all the three districts. As a precautionary measure, checking campaigns are being conducted at various places by the police team. There is alert in Varanasi on the anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition. DCP Crime, Saravanan Thugamani said, “Everyone from Varanasi Commissionerate to the entire zone is on high alert. Investigations are being conducted at Varanasi City, Varanasi Junction and Banaras railway stations and patrolling teams have been deployed at all 84 ghats.
Increased security near Kashi Vishwanath temple and other temples
Apart from this, special monitoring will be done at Assi Ghat, Namo Ghat and Dashashwamedh Ghat during the evening aarti. Along with RPF and GRP, bomb disposal squad and dog squad are investigating in the parking lot of the railway station. Investigations are also being done at bus stands. Special security has been deployed at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple and Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple…”
Police force is fully prepared in Mathura
At the same time, special security arrangements have been made in Mathura on the anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid. In this regard, SP Crime Avneesh Mishra said, “Those without identity cards and unauthorized entry are being continuously checked. The police force is on full alert.
He said that like previous years, adequate forces have been deployed. Continuous investigation is being done. All the information received is being verified. Traffic is still going on. School children are going to school. This is completely normal. Right now, there is no traffic diversion.”
Police increased surveillance in Ayodhya
On the other hand, police is on alert in view of security in Ayodhya. Regarding security preparations, SP Chakrapani Tripathi said, “There are arrangements for checking at various points… We have requested all the hotels and dharamshalas to maintain records of the guests staying there, which our officers will check. Vehicles are being checked regularly. Our teams are also patrolling the ghats and other areas. There are separate teams for security checking and monitoring as well as crowd management.”
