After the formation of the new government in Bihar, continuous steps are being taken towards improving law and order. After getting the responsibility of Home Minister, Samrat Chaudhary is seen in action mode. In this series, on Saturday (6 December), Bihar Police took a big initiative and launched the Citizen Service Portal at the Police Headquarters. This portal was inaugurated by Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary himself.
Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary said that the aim of the government is that people should get every necessary service related to police at their homes. Now citizens will not have to visit the police station for minor tasks like police verification, filing complaint or giving information about lost and found. He clearly said that now there will be no arbitrariness in the police stations, every process will be digital and transparent.
You will be able to get many services online
According to the information, through this new portal citizens will be able to avail many services online. Which includes facilities like police verification, filing e-complaint, reporting loss of documents or goods. Officials said that as soon as any complaint is registered on the portal, it will be immediately sent to the concerned police station. After preliminary investigation at the police station level, if the case is found to be true then FIR can also be filed online.
The complainant will be able to see the status of the application in real time.
The biggest feature of the portal is that the complainant will be able to see the status of his application in real time. This will save people’s time, energy and money. Besides, transparency and accountability in police functioning will also increase. On this occasion, Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar, ADG Kundan Krishnan and all the senior officers of the police headquarters were present. All the officers described this portal as a strong step towards digital policing.
Emperor engaged in strengthening the security system of Bihar
Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary is continuously busy in strengthening the security system of Bihar. He is continuously holding review meetings with the police department. On Friday 5th December also he had conducted a detailed review of Special Branch CID, STF and other security related departments. In the meeting he stressed on quick action, transparency and better coordination between departments.
The government says that in the coming time, more new facilities will be added to this portal, so that every citizen can avail all the police services without going to the police station. With the launch of the new portal, the problems of common people will be reduced and the police system in Bihar will become stronger and more modern than before.
