If you want to keep your mind and memory strong, then try to learn new skills. Learning a new skill, such as a new language, musical instrument, dance form or coding, creates new natural connections in the brain that improve long-term memory and ability to sleep.

Apart from this, you can also do a puzzle circuit daily. Give 10 to 15 minutes daily to crosswords, Sudoku, word games and logic puzzles. This trains the brain to sleep and remember information under mild pressure.

Try to walk fast for some time every day. Aerobics exercises like brisk walking or cycling increase blood flow in the brain and support the hippocampus, which is considered an important part of improving and maintaining memory.

You can also practice list recall daily. For this, memorize the shopping list or todo list, then hide it and recall as much as you can. This strengthens both working memory and attention.

To sharpen your memory, you can also train to recognize names and faces. For this, while meeting someone, repeat their name, ask a question and create an image in the mind of that person by associating the name with a special feature of the face, which makes it easier to remember.

To keep your mind sharp, you can use your non-dominant hand. Brushing with the opposite hand, stirring tea or moving a mouse activates less used parts of the brain and increases cognitive flexibility.

You can also do short, focused meditations to sharpen your mind. For this, do simple breathing meditation for 5 to 10 minutes. This meditation increases attention and frees the mind from clutter, making it easier to form and remember memories.

To keep your memory strong, try to explain or teach what you learn to someone. In fact, explaining a book, podcast or lecture to someone else organizes information in the brain and strengthens the memory trace.
