On the very first day of its release, it crossed the expectations and made a bumper collection and not only became the biggest opener of Ranveer Singh’s career till date but it also won the title of the third biggest opening film of the year by beating ‘Sayara’. Aditya Dhar directed Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike. After 6 years of this blockbuster film, now Aditya Dhar has made a comeback in direction with ‘Dhurandhar’. His film is based on a secret operation related to India’s intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RW).
Apart from Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, R. A group of actors like Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal are in the lead roles. Strong casting, high stakes espionage plot and popular music have made ‘Dhurandhar’ one of the most talked about releases of the year so far, interestingly, ‘Dhurandhar’ has made waves on the opening weekend too after a tremendous start. Even trade analysts have been surprised to see the stellar performance of this film.
- Amidst all this, if we talk about the collection of the film, ‘Dhurandhar’ had collected Rs 28 crores on the first day of its release. On the second day, the film had earned Rs 32 crores with a growth of 14.29 percent.
- According to the early trend report of Saknilk, ‘Dhurandhar’ has earned Rs 39.50 crore on the third day of its release i.e. Sunday.
- With this, the total earning of ‘Dhurandhar’ in three days has now reached Rs 99.50 crore.

‘Dhurandhar’ has done wonders on the opening weekend. This film is inches away from making Rs 100 crore. With this, this film has become the fourth highest grossing film on the opening weekend with a collection of Rs 99.50 crore. It has beaten the opening weekend collections of Housefull 5 (91.83 crore), Sikandar (86.44 crore), Syara (84.5 crore), Kantara Chapter 1 (75 crore), Raid 2 (73.83 crore), Sky Force (73.2 crore) and Sitare Zameen Par (57.3 crore).

‘Dhurandhar’ has become the 16th highest grossing film on its first Sunday by collecting Rs 39.50 crore. It has left behind all the films including Race 3, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK. Now the real test will take place on weekdays. It remains to be seen how this film does business on non-holidays.
