In the seminar organized at AMA Convention Center Prayagraj, Executive Chairman of the Indian Education Board and retired IAS Dr. NP Singh said that the objective of establishing the Indian Education Board is to coordinate the Indian knowledge tradition with modern education by reviving the indigenous education system.
He said that today the country needs such education which can develop both self-respect, Indianness, morality, leadership abilities and global vision in the students. Keeping this objective in mind, the Indian Education Board has been formed, which is recognized at par with the national and state boards.
Science and technology were integrated in the curriculum in a balanced manner – Dr. Singh
Dr. Singh said that Vedas, Upanishads, Geeta, Jain and Buddhist philosophies, stories of Indian heroes, constitutional values, Gurukul tradition and modern science and technology have been integrated in a balanced manner in the curriculum of the board. He said that arrangements have been made to introduce Indian philosophies to small children through stories and poems and to conduct detailed study of these subjects in higher classes.
The biographies of about 120 great heroes of India have also been included in the curriculum. He said that this education system will not only make the students employable but will also make them capable of creating employment. The syllabus of the board has also been developed in line with competitive examinations like UPSC, JEE, NEET.
These schools can take recognition from the Indian Education Board
This board is equivalent to CBSE, it recognizes schools from classes 9 to 12. Recognized schools from classes 1 to 8 can seek recognition from the Board of Education of India.
