Bollywood actor Salman Khan has moved the Delhi High Court for the protection of his personality rights. This case will be in the bench of Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora tomorrow. Salman Khan has filed this petition against those people and organizations who are commercially using his name, picture, voice and other things related to his identity without his permission.
Salman Khan says that his photo and identity are being misused in ads, online content, social media posts and other business activities, which is completely wrong. In this case, Salman Khan has also made some unknown organizations a party, which are called John Doe in legal language.
Many famous personalities have already approached the court
In recent times, many famous personalities have approached the court for the protection of their personality rights. On December 8, South actor NTR Jr (Nandamuri Tarak Rama Rao) had also filed a similar petition in the Delhi High Court. In that case, Justice Arora had directed social media and e-commerce platforms to consider this petition as a complaint under the IT Rules 2021 and take necessary action.
Many celebrities have demanded protection of personality rights
Apart from this, different benches of Delhi High Court have already protected the personality rights of many celebrities. These include spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actor Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and filmmaker Karan Johar.
Salman Khan’s work front
On the work front, Salman Khan will now be seen in Battle of Galwan. Apoorva Lakhia is directing this film in which Chitrangada Singh will also be seen along with him. Apart from this, the actor also has ‘Kick 2’ in the pipeline. At present the release date of these films has not been announced.
