India has defeated UAE by 234 runs. Team India has started its campaign with a win in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025. Thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s historic innings of 171 runs, India had scored a huge score of 433 runs while batting first. In response, UAE team could score only 199 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.
This was the first match of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, in which Indian captain Ayush Mhatre was a flop. But Vaibhav Suryavanshi definitely took the trouble out of UAE bowlers. He completed his century in just 56 balls. He scored 171 runs playing 95 balls in the match. He hit 14 sixes and 9 fours in his innings. Vihaan Malhotra and Aaron George both played innings of 69 runs for India.
India had scored the third highest score in the history of Under-19 ODI cricket in this match. By defeating UAE by 234 runs, India has achieved its fourth biggest win by runs in Under-19 ODI history. Earlier, India’s Under-19 team had also defeated England by 234 runs.
UAE ran out of steam
India used 9 bowlers, apart from Khilan Patel no bowler bowled the full 10 overs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi also bowled 2 overs, in which he gave 13 runs. UAE had lost 6 wickets at the score of 53 runs. But thanks to Prithvi Madhu’s 50 runs and Uddish Suri’s unbeaten inning of 78 runs, UAE somehow managed to reach 199 runs.
Pakistan faced Malaysia in the second match of Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 played today. In that match, Pakistan, playing first, scored 345 runs, but Malaysia’s team was limited to just 48 runs. Pakistan has achieved its biggest win by runs in Under-19 ODI cricket. India and Pakistan are in the same group.
