Haryanvi singer and artist Masoom Sharma recently expressed his views openly on issues like politics, art, freedom of expression and criticism through his statements. He said that DGP Sahib is doing his work and we artistes are doing our work, because every person should perform his duty and responsibilities. He made it clear that instead of confrontation, everyone should work honestly within their limits and this is the real strength of the democratic system.
Attitude and ideological thinking on joining politics
On the question of joining a political party, Masoom Sharma said that he has neither opposition to any party nor any abstinence from any party. He said that what will happen next, which path will be made, it depends on God. Masoom Sharma clarified that he does not have any party of his own, rather his thinking is related to the ideology of nationalism.
He said that he neither has any special love for any party nor any personal problem. He believes that the job of an artist is to remain connected to the society, and not to limit oneself within any political framework. In this sequence, he also said that his idol in politics is Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, whose working style and decision-making ability he is impressed by.
Thoughts on controversial remarks and singing
Mashoom Sharma gave a very natural reaction to the controversial remarks of Safidon MLA Ram Kumar Gautam. He said that he is elderly and at this stage of age it is natural to sometimes speak outrightly. According to Masoom Sharma, people do not consider it bad, but sometimes take it from a comic point of view and respect and love for him remains.
Regarding his singing, he said that it is a long chapter, which can be discussed in detail. He believes that whatever happens according to time is right and the artist should adapt himself to the changing times. This thinking reflects his maturity and experience.
Protest, love and expectations from the government
Masoom Sharma said that programs should continue and there should be no restrictions on artistes, but real restrictions should be imposed on those serious issues on which the government needs to work more. He said that he does not feel any opposition, although some people may definitely criticize.
According to Masoom Sharma, the number of lovers is much greater and critics are also necessary. He even said that the day critics will end, Mashoom Sharma will also end. This statement shows that he considers criticism as a part of development and considers public love as his biggest strength.
