Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary on Saturday (December 13) filed his nomination at the party office in Lucknow to become the next state president of Uttar Pradesh BJP. A large number of his supporters from Maharajganj district were already present at both Lucknow airport and BJP office and welcomed him with slogans.
Happiness in the family, mother expressed pride
Pankaj Chaudhary’s mother Ujjwal Chaudhary expressed her feelings regarding her son’s nomination. He said, “We can’t express how happy we are. We also feel very proud. He has reached such a big position from such a small post. We came to know about it from the news. When he was leaving Delhi today, he called and informed that he was going to Lucknow.”
BJP leader Pankaj Chaudhary reached Lucknow from Delhi on Saturday afternoon by Air India flight. As soon as he landed at the airport, his supporters welcomed him with flowers and garlands. After this he directly reached the state office of BJP, where he formally filed his nomination papers for the post of state president.
Senior leaders including CM Yogi became proponents
There was full support from the top leadership of the party regarding the nomination of Pankaj Chaudhary. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak became his proposers. The presence of these senior leaders indicated that Pankaj Chaudhary has strong support in the organization.
Support from Maharajganj to Lucknow
Enthusiasm was seen especially in Maharajganj district regarding the nomination of Pankaj Chaudhary. A large number of workers and supporters from the district reached Lucknow. The presence of supporters from the airport to the party office showed that they are getting strong support at the grassroots level too.
After the nomination of Pankaj Chaudhary, organizational activities in Uttar Pradesh BJP may further intensify. Pankaj Chaudhary, who has been active in the organization for a long time, is considered an experienced leader and expectations have increased among the workers regarding the possibility of him becoming the state president.
