If you have studied nursing and are looking for a government job, Himachal Pradesh government has issued recruitment for 312 posts of Assistant Staff Nurse. The aim of the government is to fulfill the shortage of nursing staff in the government hospitals and health institutions of the state, so that the patients can get better treatment. This recruitment for nurses in Himachal Pradesh is being considered special because appointments are being made on hundreds of posts simultaneously.
Who can apply?
Only female candidates can apply for this recruitment and it is necessary for the candidate to be a permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh. If you have done B.Sc Nursing or GNM Diploma, then you are eligible for this recruitment. Apart from this, it is also mandatory for the candidate to be registered with Himachal Pradesh Nursing Council.
age limit
Talking about age, generally the minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 32 years, however reserved category candidates will also be given age relaxation as per government rules.
When will the applications be accepted?
The online application process for this recruitment has started. Interested candidates can apply till 16 January 2026. Applications will be accepted only in online mode. No form will be accepted after the last date, hence candidates are advised to apply on time.
How much salary will you get?
Initially, the selected candidates will get a salary of about Rs 25 thousand per month. This salary will be given on contract basis. It may also change in the future as per the government rules. The experience of working in a government hospital can also prove helpful in getting a permanent job in the future.
How will the selection process be?
Detailed information regarding the selection process has been given in the official notification. Generally, it consists of scrutiny of applications, then written examination or screening test and if necessary, interview can also be taken. Candidates are advised to start their preparation from now.

- Upload B.Sc Nursing or GNM certificate, Nursing Council Registration, Identity Card and other required documents.
- Check the form once carefully.
- Submit the application form and keep its print or screenshot safe.
