There was chaos on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia on Sunday (December 14, 2025) when two attackers suddenly started firing indiscriminately at thousands of people gathered. NSW Police Force said that so far 10 people have been confirmed dead in the shooting, while 11 people have been injured. A video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which a person hiding behind a tree overpowered the shooter who was firing and snatched his rifle and pointed it at him.
In this video clip of about 15 seconds which is going viral on social media, it is seen that an unarmed man moves forward while hiding behind the cars in the parking lot, then runs from behind and suddenly pounces on the attacker, holds him by the neck and snatches the rifle. Due to a sudden attack from behind, the attacker falls on the ground, while the person points the attacker’s rifle at him. After this video went viral, social media users are praising the man’s courage.

10 people killed in firing on Bondi Beach
A mass shooting incident took place on Bondi Beach at 6:30 pm local time, in which 10 people have died. NSW Police Force said that one of these 10 people is said to be the attacker, while the condition of the other attacker is critical. At the same time, two policemen are also included among the 11 injured. Immediately after this incident, the NSW Police Force immediately started the operation, which is still going on.
New South Wales Police appealed to the people
Police have advised the common people to stay away from the incident site and take shelter at some safe place. The NSW Police Force shared a post on social media platform X saying, ‘Police are present at the scene and will share more information as it becomes available. At present the campaign is going on and we are continuously appealing to the people to stay away from the area. Please follow all police instructions and do not cross the police cordon.
