In Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, school timings have been changed due to dense fog and severe cold. According to the order, all council, aided, secondary and recognized board schools in the district from classes 1 to 8 will now be operated from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm.
In view of the continuously falling temperatures, severe cold and dense fog in the morning in Rampur district, the administration has taken a big decision to protect the health of children. An order in this regard has been issued by the District Basic Education Officer, Rampur. Under this, the operating timings of all council, secondary and aided schools and schools recognized by all boards have been changed.

It has been said in the order that extreme cold and dense fog can prove to be risky for children. Keeping this in mind, on the instructions of District Magistrate Rampur, now all the concerned schools will be operated from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm only.
Due to very low visibility and cold winds in the morning, small children were facing difficulty in reaching school. Traffic is also affected at many places due to fog, due to which parents were also worried. This step of the administration has been taken giving priority to the safety and health of children.
BSA issued orders
The District Basic Education Officer has instructed all school managements to ensure strict compliance with the order. Besides, the concerned officers have also been asked to monitor. In view of the cold and foggy conditions, parents have welcomed this decision of the administration.
