Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that Tier 2 exam will be conducted on 18th and 19th January 2026 at different exam centers across the country. This news is very important for all those candidates who have passed Tier 1 and are eligible for further selection process.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the official date for SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2025–26. This exam will be held on 18 and 19 January 2026 at various examination centers across the country. In this important stage, 1,39,395 candidates will participate who have previously successfully passed the Tier 1 exam. Tier 2 exam is the second stage of the selection process for Group B and Group C posts of the Central Government.
Admit Card and Exam Center Information
Candidates have to download their admit card from the official website of SSC before the examination. The admit card will contain the examination centre, timings and special instructions for the candidates. It is mandatory for the candidates to be present at the examination center at the scheduled time. Failure to follow the rules will prevent admission.

Exam Pattern and Preparation
SSC CGL Tier 2 exam consists of the following papers:
- Mathematics (Quantitative Abilities)
- English Language & Comprehension
- Statistics
- General Studies – Finance & Economics
There is separate marking and time limit for each paper. Candidates should practice old question papers and mock tests. It is possible to score high marks only with the right strategy and regular practice.

- Go to the official website of SSC https://ssc.nic.inp.
- Click on “Admit Card” or “CGL” link on the homepage.
- Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Date of Birth (DOB).
- Your Admit Card will appear on the screen, download it in PDF.
- Take a print out of the Admit Card and carry the Admit Card and Photo ID with you on the day of examination.
