The Justice Department said in its post that the documents have been released publicly. Some of these documents also include false and sensational allegations against US President Donald Trump, which were handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) just before the 2020 general elections.
The department said that frankly, these allegations are completely baseless and false, if there was even an iota of truth and credibility in them, they would have been used as a weapon against President Trump by now. Yet the Justice Department is releasing these documents as part of its commitment to the rule of law and transparency. With this, legally required protection of Epstein’s victims has been ensured.
